Risk & Compliance Assistant

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing general support for the Risk and Compliance team who are charged with the development and promotion of the Risk and Compliance and the BCM frameworks.
  • Assist with the completion of compliance reviews and risk assessments.
  • Monitoring action plans arising from compliance reviews, audit and risk assessments.
  • Gathering information to support the completion of Department reports.
  • Maintaining departmental registers.
  • Monitoring the emails to the Risk and Compliance department to ensure all activities are promptly attended to.
  • Assisting with the monitoring of regulatory and legislative changes and the follow-up of action plans developed to ensure compliance with the same.
  • Other responsibilities and projects assigned.

EXPERIENCE (Including sector/industry)

Proven experience as a Compliance Assistant or similar role with a minimum of 3 years. Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards.

PROFESSIONAL DEGREE / CERTIFICATION

  • BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or related field.
  • ACCA/CPA
