Mengo Hospital visited Sanyu Babies home on 6th October 2016 to express their love and care to the abandoned children kept in the Home. This was in line with their annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CS R) – giving back to the public.
Dr. Patrick Luwaga, Deputy Medical Director (Clinical) who led the team handed over a cheque of one million Ugandan shillings and other assorted items ranging from food stuffs to clothing to the acting Administrator of the Homer, Mr. Kkonde.
In his address to the Media, Mengo Hospital and sanyu Babies Home staff, while handing over the donation, Dr. Luwaga reiterated that the donation was in line with their mission and values; emulating Jesus Christ who identified with the needy in his ministry. He said they wanted to address the plight of the children in the Home since they are not privileged like other children who grow up with their biological parents.
Dr. Luwagga was accompanied by the Deputy Medical Director (Administration) Mr. Chris Luzinda, the Finance Manager, Martha Mukasa, the Hospital Administrator Godfrey Ssemanda, The Principal Nursing Officer, Doctors, Ward Managers and students.
