School of Allied Health Sciences
The School of Medical Laboratory Training was established in 1991 when Dr. Ray Wood and his colleagues began training students to support laboratory services. This initiative has since grown into a modern training school that offers both certificate and diploma programs in Medical Laboratory Technology, with preparations underway for a degree program.
With well-equipped facilities, including a computer lab and a fully functional laboratory, and a team of professional staff, Mengo Training School has built a strong reputation for high-quality training and for producing dedicated professionals with excellent attitudes.
Our programs attract both local and international students from all regions. Each year, we admit 60 students to the certificate program and 50 students to the diploma program.
The Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology is a two-year course, while the Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology is a three-year program.
